00 Okay, serious question. So, answer it with real uh evidence if you can. How would each of your parents have reacted if during your high school days you came out as gay? >> I came out as gay. >> Yeah. >> I think my mom would either So, serious >> her honest actual reaction she would have had at that time. >> I think she'd be like, "Oh my god." And then she would either take me to some sort of like uh monk exorcism cleansing type ████ like some sort of ceremony um and try to like get the the gay demons out. Like why am I even lusting for ████ butt cheeks? >> She wouldn't even for a second believe that it was like a real thing. She would think there's something wrong with you. >> Cuz she thinks she probably thinks everybody that's gay is wrong right now. [laughter]

50 >> Okay. >> She thinks gay is wrong probably. Oh, >> like it's a disorder. And yeah, in her brain she's probably like and and not even in like a prejudice way, >> but in a way where like ah if everybody just met Buddha, they could all be saved like that. >> Not in like, oh, what the hell are you gay? Stay away from me. >> It's more like, oh, can I introduce you to Buddha, please? He'll help you and you'll stop thirsting. >> Probably does blow her mind. She goes, why do you need a suckad dick? >> Why? So she'll either she'll she'll take me to try to get cleansed or you know go to a mon become a monk or maybe actually even go you know what maybe even having a family is not in your cards just go shave your head and actually be a monk >> be a monk >> be a real monk. >> She wants everyone to be celibate and the population just goes away. >> Yeah I guess so. >> Yeah. I think my dad would be like

41 >> oh the hell >> you're gay. >> Yeah. Like no go to sleep. Come back tomorrow talk you know. And he'll probably like really want to make sure. to like >> go to sleep. >> Go to sleep. What the hell? You say crazy ████ Like go to sleep. >> Like like I don't know. Like we go get KFC and then go to sleep. >> Okay. >> Like try to like just try to like let's skip the day like some like heard talking crazy. >> It's just a ████ record skipping. Like what the ████ And if I go tomorrow I'm like no I'm I'm so ████ gay or whatever the next day. I think [laughter] then I think he'll be like um then he'll be like why why why do you like gay? And then if I'm like, I don't know, I'm attracted to dudes. I think he probably would first baby step it. >> Probably take me to a strip club. >> Oh. >> And like, how how do you not like like like booby or butt, whatever. Yeah.

32 >> And then he probably >> I think probably buy me a hooker. >> Oh my god. >> He's a man of solutions. >> I think he would. I think he's very practical and he'll be like, "Hey, uh, >> sure ████ don't feel that good. Go go go go go go spend go spend some time with her and then you come back and tell me that you're still gay. IMPOSSIBLE. [laughter] [screaming] If I came back still gay, I think he would eventually accept me and then he's like, "This is my gay son." [laughter] >> He's practical though. >> He's practical. I think he would like walk me down the >> He's like, "I did everything I could as a father. He's gay." I don't think he would try to change him by like testing him with all these like things. I think he's more like

23 >> is this a teen like give me attention thing or >> like real like is it a phase? Is this a ████ face? >> So it's like prove it versus like it's like prove it I think versus like let's try to turn him straight. >> Yeah. He's like let me just make sure. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. By giving him all this. >> You're going to resist that hot girl. Yeah. >> Oh, bro. You get [laughter] >> So, he's just doing a verification test. Okay. >> Wow. >> I did ████ around with them. I think when I was in college cuz we had like some big fight and I forgot what it was about, but it was something of him not understanding or not agreeing with one of my like values or something like that. And I was like, "What if I came out and I told you I was gay right now? What would you do? Don't say that. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no don't no don't no don't no don't no don't no don't no don't say that. [laughter] And I was like, "Oh ████ that ████ really that doesn't even exist."

14 >> Yeah, I really ████ jumbled jumbled him up. >> Wow. >> Damn. >> Coming from a super religious household, how would they react? >> Religion is probably the biggest um factor on why it would be so extreme. >> And [snorts] I think like for for my mom, I know she would be like heartbroken. She'd be so sad. Yeah, she'd be very sad. And that's not to do with like it's it's mainly because like when you grow up in a specific kind of church, especially for Seven Day Adventists, >> every time somebody you hear about somebody being gay, >> it doesn't end very well for them. Like their life doesn't get better. It it becomes like inarguably worse. >> Yeah. Like my teacher in in sixth grade, he ended up uh he was like closeted gay. He of course got AIDS, which is like

05 And then um and he would still go to church every week while he had AIDS. So he would you could see him deteriorate every week at Norwok Church and the family and all the people in church were just having pity on him like oh isn't that so sad. You know what I mean? >> It's almost like >> a you you you dug your own grave cuz you're gay. >> It's so ████ up. It's like the most uncchristian ████ ever. >> That's why I say like of course he had AIDS because it's like a thing where they think even if you don't have it that oh you'll get it, you know, like you're gay, you'll get it. So it's like it's almost like a slow death sentence I guess in that world. So if I had told my mom that it's basically like me saying I'm on my way to do nothing more than just die. >> Like there's I'm not going to get married. I'm not going to finish college. I'm not going to do anything else. I'm Cuz that's the only reference they had. Anyone that we ever knew that like oh this person's gay. The next

55 thing you heard is that they died you know. So to them they would my mom would be extremely sad if I made it 10 years. I think maybe after a decade she would come to terms with it, but I but I I'm fairly certain we wouldn't talk. I think I would be estranged from the family, from the the shame of it. >> Yeah. >> And uh and I and even though that's my mom's opinion, I think my dads would be a lot different. I think my dad would uh he would make fun of me probably right away and be like, "You're not gay. You just think you're gay." You know, like that kind of like, you know, kind of roasting me about it. You think it's acceptance making fun or do you think it's denial and making fun? >> I think he's going to play I think he's going to play light for his own >> emotional survival in the beginning >> and then I think if I continue to stick to being gay, I think after a month he's

45 going to get really angry. It'll get super pissed. But then I think one month after that, I think he's going to get cool again because he's a huge fan of gay comedy. Like my dad loves gay comedians cuz Philippines is ████ full of them. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> Like one of his favorite people is uh Vice Gand who's like a Philippines TV host and movie star. And my dad when he's on the TV, my dad can't stop laughing at this. He probably doesn't want me to be like that, but I know that he has like a a love for it, you know? And I think like after some time, a lot shorter than my mom, I know he'll get over it. But, uh, I think it's going to be a struggle. I'll have to get through the month of him being violently angry about it. [laughter] >> Do you think any of it plays into um,

35 like do your parents even care if you have offspring? And do you think that any of that plays into any of the anger? >> They really I I think they they've never put the pressure on me to have kids. >> Okay. >> Ever. Um, which is why when I told them I'm having a kid, they were like over the moon elated. Like extra extra extra happy because it it's like a treat. It's not something like It's not like they required it and they were like >> like you just check the box. >> Exactly. It's not like like, oh, he's finally doing what we want. It's like, oh, I just gave this to them. >> Yeah. It's a bonus. >> Yeah. Exactly. So, they see it like that. But mainly, I think the reason my dad would be so hurt and angry about it, it's a direct reflection upon his parenting. So then his peer group and his family are going to think, "What's wrong with your dad's skills that your kid came out gay? >> What did you do?"

25 >> Yeah. Exactly. They're like, "Did you like did you do gay ████ to him? Did you touch him?" Like they would say that stuff. They They would literally accuse my dad of like probably abusing me because, you know, >> every questionable thing that your dad allowed would be pop up. Like, see what happens? You let him have crazy haircuts. >> Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. >> Told you you should have stopped that ████ I know that he would get like and I think he would blame himself really hard. I think he would blame himself super super hard like man I didn't spend enough time with him giving him like man-to-man time. We didn't we didn't play catch. I didn't take him to sports games. Like a bunch of like really like you know obviously that's if you're gay you're gay you know. [laughter] >> I should have seen the sign he was dancing. >> Yeah. I should have taken him to watch Terminator 2. You know, like stupid things like >> you should have put him in football >> cuz I know that he kind of I I remember when once I started dancing, he

16 definitely felt like that was pretty gay. >> Oh no. Borderline. >> Oh no. He really didn't know that it was like breaking. He just knew it was like dance. So he's like, "Oh man, like he was really already pictured you ballroom dance." >> Absolutely. Yeah. He had ballet. >> He was probably like dancing with girls. Guys, FIVE GUYS. [laughter] ALL GUYS, NO GIRLS. Why do you dance with all men? But that was one thing my dad roasted me on. Cuz you know in high school, all you ever want to do is have your boys like kick it with you. >> Yeah. Hell yeah. >> And so I always had dudes sleeping over. So he's always like, "Why the ████ do you always have ████ guys sleeping over? You always pull >> he would have allowed girls sleeping over." >> Yeah. >> What? >> So he would >> in high school. >> In high school. So when I was 16 or 17. So that's what I loved about my dad.

06 He's a realist. But he'd be like, "Why the ████ do you always have dudes sleeping over? You're always asking if we could pull out another ████ mattress or a couch and blankets and s███." He go, "There's always like three or four ████ dudes sleeping over." Talk about never girls sleeping over. And then uh on my senior year of high school, um I had a girlfriend that was from Fullerton. And then so she uh crashed at my place and my dad worked night shift. So he didn't know that she was sleeping over. But my dad would always come home and open the door to check up on me when I'm sleeping or I guess to even see if I'm home. >> This time I was sleeping, the chick was like laying right here and then her back is towards the door. And when she opened the door, I think he saw her long hair. >> And I was like, "Get out." And my dad saw and he was like, [laughter] and then you know what my dad did when it was uh when it was uh morning time, I

57 went downstairs. I was like, "Hey, hey, hey, Dad." He goes, "Hey, do you want In-N-Out? Do you want KFC?" rewarding you. >> Just stay stay at home. I'll go out and buy food. >> What? >> Yeah. My dad was just like pretty much just saying like whatever you guys want to eat, just stay at home. I'm going to go out and buy it and I'll bring it back. >> Wow. >> Yeah. So, he was like >> he's the ultimate bro, dude. >> He was super cool with it cuz I think he just knew like you're 16, 17, you're going to be ████ horny doing horny ████ >> Yeah. But if you open the door and there was a naked boy next to you, he would have been like, "Dang, >> bro." Imagine all the times all my homies are laying on the floor. like e [laughter] >> do you think with with your mom how she would feel about it? Would that be religion based as well? >> I actually think they like kind of like your parents, they'd be more worried about the rumors,

48 >> the shame, all that, >> the stereotypes. Huh. >> But I actually think that my mom would have preferred a gay son. >> Really? >> She wanted a daughter really bad. Oh. >> Oh, the compromise. >> Yeah. Yeah. Cuz she ended up with two boys. So, she she wanted one daughter, one guy. >> And I And uh I see the way she treats my nieces. They go shopping. She wants girl time. She wants to do pretty ████ And I think a gay guy would have done that with her. Who had a higher chance of being gay? You or your brother? >> I don't know, man. Both of us are pretty flaming. [laughter] I think he would have been the closeted and I would have been the open. [laughter] Well, yeah. >> And I think my dad would have probably been like that's so gay, bro. >> Well, there he was like he was an

38 artist, so there's he can't be too far removed from like gayness. No, there were gay performers and then we would watch >> like Yeah. every content with the I that's why I think >> they would have been okay inside the family >> just as a unit. the image just wouldn't sell well >> where they would be uncomfortable with the would be this the it's a it's technically a sin right so they're worried that I won't get into heaven >> so I think that's >> but then I don't think they have any issues with gay people or like you know like yeah like they >> they don't have a personal vendetta yeah >> so like >> like outside of church >> just the doctrine of the church like the rules >> so they're like I'm worried that you're not going to get into heaven like whatever if there was a gay camp, Christian camp. They probably would have sent me there. >> Like a conversion therapy camp. >> Yeah. >> Damn. You would have got sent to that

29 ████ >> But not because they like again like not cuz they hate gays. It's because they they you know >> they think that's what you're supposed to do. Yeah. >> Yeah. Cuz they wouldn't even let me ████ eat certain foods cuz it's a sin. Like pork is a sin, right? So of course sucking dick is a sin. So like [laughter] dude cuz even if I like so like so even being straight and if I was like ████ as a teenager they and if there was a camp for like celibacy they would have sent me there. >> Oh >> yeah. >> So it's any type of rule breaking of the church. >> Anything like drugs. Yeah. They sent me on ████ with the church for that to detox. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. But I think uh if I if I had to be honest with like what they would have preferred as a child, I think they would have loved a gay son that followed the rules, did music, and

20 obeyed versus me [laughter] >> versus you. >> I think 100% they would have >> a son that disobeyed. They would have rather [laughter] >> they would have rather had a gay son that was their ideal everything >> than the real person. >> Yeah. [laughter] >> That's so funny, >> dude. They would have loved it. I think Yeah, >> they probably Yeah, they probably would have had a really great time, huh? >> You think your parents like let's say how do you think would be the smoothest way or what do you think would be the worst way for them to find out you're gay? Would it be like >> open the door? Like they have cut fruit cuz my friend's over and they open the door and I'm sucking them off. ████ Cuz you know how parents be doing that, right? Oh, you got to go hang out with your friend and then they'll just bust through the door and they'll bring

10 snacks and ████ Like imagine she's she cut some pears and ████ and my parents bust the door open and I'm sucking the ████ out of my best friend. You know, [laughter] >> that would have been hilarious. >> That would scar them FROM >> YEAH. THEY'RE LIKE [screaming] >> THAT'S probably the worst. That's the worst. The best cuz I was like coming out. >> I was like, if my dad like went through my room >> and he saw like gay porn magazine. >> Oh, >> I think my dad would throw up. >> He'd be like, "What the f███?" But then also if like let's say if I was flaming though you know like some kids they just start off at two and you're oh this guy's gay >> then it might be an easier like you know they already been prepping they already oh this guy's been flamboyant since day one. >> You know what would a little funny thing if let's say my dad caught me like that

00 where I was sucking my friend off. I think that's preferred over if I went to senior prom with a guy. >> Really? >> Yes. >> Why? Because the senior prompting is a statement to the public. >> Uh yeah. >> You know what I mean? My dad Yeah. Yeah. My dad would be like he's like you it's he the way they would see it is like no that was a family issue first. >> You should have you should have given the family a chance to deal with it before you like hard launched it. You know >> okay then I think the worst way would be to announce coming out with your boyfriend at church. [laughter] >> Oh ████ >> Yeah. I think that would be the worst. >> At church, [laughter] at your Japanese SDA church. Holy crap. >> If I had a boyfriend there and we went up on stage to do a duet and we use that

51 ████ moment to come out, [clears throat] >> that'd be hardcore. >> And we kiss. >> That'd be ████ hardcore. >> Oh, and then we slowly get [laughter] by the way, we're together, guys. Happy Sabbath. >> ████ [laughter] >> That's horrible. >> That ruined the whole weekend. >> That ruins the whole congregation. >> And my mom and dad would play the piano for the church, too. So my mom would have been ████ playing. Yeah.
